The Puerto Vallarta real estate industry is certainly alive and well along the shores of Banderas Bay, which now is referred to as one destination known as “Vallarta”. There is more new construction taking place today than at any other time, surpassing the boom of the late 1980s. It begins in Mismaloya on the southern shore and stretches all the way to Punta Mita in the north. The developments of Nuevo Vallarta and Flamingos, after seeing little construction in the past 20 years, are now hot spots with homes, condos, hotels and golf courses in full swing, pardon the pun.
And there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight, with Puerto Vallarta offering a variety of real estate options for both the national and international markets. It is well diversified between hotel stays, timeshare, full-time, and now the emerging fractional market. Vallarta has plenty to offer for those considering a second home in the sun or perhaps early retirement!

Puerto Vallarta Real Estate Conference 2008: Copies of the three PowerPoint presentations that were offered during the 2008 Real Estate Conference are available here for download, in PDF format.
The Value of Real Estate to Our Community: When most people think of real estate as an industry, it brings up images of tracts of single family homes, large commercial and condominium towers and shopping malls. But are there benefits other than providing housing, office space and shopping opportunities?
Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa: One of the newest development to break ground within the Paradise Village community, is Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa, offering full-ownership condominium accommodations and amenities within a condo-hotel environment.
Sensara: Sensara luxury golf course condominiums are now offering full ownership opportunities for tropical, seaside living. Located on the championship El Tigre golf course and designed by an award-winning developer, Sensara offers 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units starting at only $179k, all designed with spacious floor plans and top quality construction materials.
Los Altos Villas: Los Altos Villas Condominiums, perched on the hillside of Colonia 5 de Diciembre, consists of 40 units priced from $249,000 to $378,000 USD. This well situated condominium project offers great views of Vallarta: the city, the lush greenery of the mountains and all of Banderas Bay.
Garza Blanca, South Shore: Garza Blanca offers whole ownership and a limited number of fractional ownership luxury condominiums located on the beach and on the nature preserve with 174 units total. All have spectacular views.
Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa: One of the newest development to break ground within the Paradise Village community, is Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa, offering full-ownership condominium accommodations and amenities within a condo-hotel environment.
Villas Alta Vida, Amapas: Only five privileged homeowners will share the private gated entry and gardens of Villas Alta Vida with its panoramic city, ocean, beach and jungle views
Puerto Vallarta: A Real Estate Sucess Story: What we can establish as being “a success”? Well, in 2000 Puerto Vallarta had roughly $50 million in resort real estate sales (“resort real estate” is defined as real estate purchased primarily by retirees or second-home purchasers). There were rarely homes selling for more than $1 million and few large real estate developments.
Rivera Cuale: Where the Rio Cuale meets downtown, you'll find Rivera Cuale, just behind the Cultural Center end of Isla Cuale. This gated master-planned community is in the traditional Mexican architecture style, with modern touches. There are 100+ units spread across three towers, all planned to give maximum views of the river, the ocean and the mountains, in a wooded setting with 24 hour security.
