La Nostalgia is the beautiful sculpture created by Ramiz Barquet of the silhouette of a man and a woman. Inspired by love for his wife Nelly, the two figures gaze off toward the ocean and ponder the wonders of life.
It is placed at the very site where the Barquet's came to watch the sunset in solitude and reflection. The sculpture of the silent couple beckon visitors to sit upon their laps for nostalgic seaside photographs.
At night special lights that reflect its patina illuminate the famous monument. It is one of the most popular of all the sculpted art found along the Malecon.
