Mascota

Mascota, (The Place of Deer and Pines) is a thriving town of 8,000 located in the Puerto Vallarta mountains. Its 4,300-foot altitude gives the area a semi-temperate climate with lots of moisture perfect to grow a variety of fruits and sugar cane in the farm valleys that surround the town. Mascota offers hotels, restaurants, markets, banks and medical services. From a the nearby summit of Cerro de la Cruz one can enjoy the sun setting over a forested ridge and the Mascota Valley below dotted with quaint hamlets set in the emerald country side.
