South of Puerto Vallarta are a number of small bays and coves,
most of which are accessible only by boat. This is where the Sierra Madre
mountains meet the shores of Banderas Bay,
creating an environment of beautiful beaches
with a rich jungle backdrop.
It's a popular destination for many day cruises which visit Los
Arcos for diving or the
palapa restaurants at Las Animas,
Quimixto or Yelapa.
Any visit to Puerto Vallarta should include a water
tour of the Bay. It is the best way
to see what Vallarta really has to offer.
