Lifestyles Profile - Tere Kimball By Josef Kandoll AMPI Nayarit, her plate is full. “I’m on a mission,” she says, “to make this the best real estate office in the Bay area. I put our clients’ interests first.” Quickly she adds, “The key is my team. We are a family, I depend on them. I’m like a lion and they’re my cubs. I insist that they are treated fairly.” Tere always had an intense work ethic. “I grew up in Mexico City and had to start working at 16. It wasn’t just to get out of the house but to really work to bring money home.” With her early command of English, Kimball worked her way up through positions in some of the largest Mexico City banks and ultimately in the Mexican Foreign Service as personal assistant to the Consul General in Dallas, Texas. “When I met David (Kimball) in Dallas, we discovered that we had Puerto Vallarta in common, since we had both been coming here for years. It’s funny because I always had the dream of coming here, but always thought it would be to retire. We both work harder now than ever. What we have that’s different is the great quality of life.” I’ve been very lucky here. Prudential California Realty approached me and made me an offer that I couldn’t refuse. Now, here I am with an incredible team. I can never say enough good things about them.” How does Tere take a break from such a busy schedule? “We both like our private life to be private. We don’t go out much and enjoy our time alone. I adore my mother, who also lives in Vallarta. I love my three cats and doing pottery. I’m a homebody. I love my work but, as you can imagine, it gets intense with the demands of so many people, so quiet time is a must.” Respecting her own karma and that of others, she says, “Sharing is my way of living a satisfying life, and being able to share this incredible ride of real estate success is my greatest accomplishment so far.”
