Helping people find a home that best reflects their wants and needs comes naturally to this friendly, professional duo, co-owners of South Side’s Bayside Properties.

“Soon after meeting in Puerto Vallarta we found we share the same philosophy of doing business – with honesty and integrity,” says 10-year resident Susan Wiseman, who handles the day-to-day sales, rental and property management activities with Lynda Barth and the “great team” they’ve put together.

“Time and time again we’re told we have the nicest office in Vallarta to visit, and we agree,” Wiseman says with pride. “Part of it is because we have no internal competition for clients. All of us pull together to ensure everyone gets the best possible service and the desired result. Our good working relationship with Notary No. 3 also really helps.”

“Our staff – Gaby, Rosio, Ricardo, Victor and Teresa – are like family, and we pay them top dollar,” Barth adds. “And we try to give back to the community by donating time and five per cent of all sales to the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza orphanage.”

Both women have strong backgrounds in the helping professions. Barth was a psychologist for 22 years in the USA, and Wiseman a clinical social worker and teacher in Canada prior to holding senior-level positions in real estate and sitting on the ethics committee of the Toronto Real Estate Board for many years. Their corporate slogan, “Our only interest is your best interest,” aptly reflects their mission statement.

Wiseman says she’s been in love with Mexico since she started visiting in 1979. Owner of a guest villa, she moved here to run it, which she does along with the real estate business. “What I love most about living here is what I look at every single day. It thrills me to no end, and I never tire of it. Every sunset is different – and so are you. You change here. And what you used to think was important also changes.”

Barth has been here seven years now, and says she stays for two main reasons. “Not only because I really enjoy what I do, helping people get settled here, but because of some wonderful Mexican families I’ve
been very fortunate to get to know.”
