Vallarta LifestylesWhen you buy a condo or villa here, you’ve taken the first step toward making a part of Puerto Vallarta your very own, but you’ll probably want to do a little something more to make it feel like it’s truly yours. You’ll want it to reflect something of your own personality as well as the things that made you fall in love with this beautiful town in the first place.

Whether you want to start slowly with something like brightly upholstered furniture or you feel ready to jump into something a little more complicated such as installing a Jacuzzi, you’ll probably need a little help.

Although we’re fortunate that Puerto Vallarta has matured to the point that you can find practically anything your heart desires right here in town instead of having to go to “the big city,” the number of options also can be a bit overwhelming. Whether you’re hiring an architect or an interior designer to manage the project or want to take charge of the whole thing yourself, you need to be informed about what’s available and where.

Taking a moment to browse through our directory of fine shops and service providers before you begin to make your decisions can save you a lot of time and wasted effort. Arranged alphabetically, the directory includes everything you might need to make your redecorating or remodelling project a reality. From architects and interior designers to shops featuring a wide variety of fine furniture and decorating accessories, Vallarta has it all just waiting for you.

ALFARERIA TLAQUEPAQUE
The most established handicraft shop in town, where owners have been personally offering for over 40 years a wide variety of vases, jars, glasses, ashtrays, pots in ceramic, talavera, clay, blown glass and wood and prehispanic idols in all sizes painted by artisans from all over Mexico, is a must-see. Purchases are carefully packed to travel. With no intermediaries, prices are reasonable. Visa and Mastercard accepted.

CASA MEXICANA

GALERIA SAN JACINTO
Setting standards high above the typical home décor shop, San Jacinto’s owners travel the world to seek out exotic, museum-quality treasures. Since 1984, they have enabled local decorators to provide a global ethnic décor from Africa, Indonesia and the Far East. Articles in mahogany, teak and other fine woods; tapestries from the Orient; hand-woven, hand-painted textiles; ceramics and basketwork are among ancient traditions of handicrafts represented. The work in shell, camel bone, bronze, replicas of 17th-century Peruvian paintings and more all bring exotic traditions to your home.
