Lifestyles Profile - Richard Rolfo The first time Richard Rolfo ever "ventured" into crossing the San Diego-Tijuana border close to twenty years ago, his initial reluctance turned shortly thereafter into love at first sight. As a result, this third-generation American of Italian descent followed his grandparents' example and gave himself to pursuing a dream in foreign territory, but this time all the way down to Nuevo Vallarta. It all started back in 1987, when Dr. James Casey - his brother in-law and an original developer/partner of Marina Vallarta - invited him to be involved in the development of a condominium project to be known as Quinta del Mar. For him this was a chance to do something that many covet but seldom can achieve: to go back and live in that place where once as youngsters, we promised ourselves to at least revisit once. Richard took the risk head on, sold his car dealership in San Diego and began working as Director General for Quinta del Mar, on what was then a totally brand new and undeveloped area just north of Puerto Vallarta. Almost overnight the risk began to flower into success, a situation that now presents him with the possibility of fulfilling his life-goal: to complete the total project with 200 condominiums, a spa and convenience shops. A curious note here is that when deciding upon Quinta del Mar's architecture, a shell found by Dr. Casey on the beach provided the inspiration for its exterior design by bringing Spanish architect Gaudí into mind. Richard currently lives in Quinta del Mar in Nuevo Vallarta and is father to Jonathan age 13 and Lindsey age nine, who live in the United States. When property is concerned, Richard advises to watch-out for:    • Clear legal rights for selling    • Look for an established condo regime    • Climate and accessibility to airports
