Lifestyles Profile - Malú González Malú González is mother of two children and an active businesswoman. She explains that she lived in a very difficult age for Mexican women in general and, up to a certain extent, saw herself breaking the suffocating rules of tradition that marked her generation. Although she is not a declared feminist, she has always worked and feels extremely independent with a natural proclivity to feel happy. Perhaps the source of all this energy is rooted in the fact that she chose wisely what was to become her profession. She is an interior designer by choice and explains that her acute visual sensitivity is something almost innate, which allows her to determine, in a split second, colors, spaces and lighting, creating a harmonious blend at first glance. Time, like vintage wine, has also conditioned and cultivated her likings, enriching that instinctive camera-like flash into a matured texture of good taste. After working in Guadalajara, where she enjoyed the thrill of success with billboards posted around the city, she was struck by the devaluation and by an inner revolution, as well. She decided to leave the stressful city life and came to Vallarta, where she enjoys a daily glimpse of the sea and kayaking has become her favorite routine. She, like the colonial-style furniture she used to sell, has also changed. She got rid of the dark and weighty guise and now blooms with light minimalist design with a very personal finesse. She likes a spotlight of color and loves opens spaces, so she called her new shop Espacios, a symbol of a new stage in her life, which displays her fresh and casual style and mirrors her own personality, discretely elegant with a bubbling glow in her eyes.
