The alchemy of dynamic Kathleen Hennen is evident in the programs she directs for local Spotlight Productions, whether music, drama or revue.

Even during the summer, their musical revue, “The Last Time I saw Paris” at La Petite France, received raves. Hennen doesn’t slow down, planning rehearsals with a chamber ensemble group, the return of “Steel Magnolias”, their annual Christmas show, and “Some Enchanted Evening”, a Rogers & Hammerstein revue.

What makes this non-profit civic association function so well? “We are like a family, and no one is less important than anyone else, whether you do lights, costumes or song and dance.”

Last summer’s special children’s program gave scholarships as well as training in theater to tomorrow’s stars.
