Ignacio Cadena likes to have a good time. His restaurant, La Petite France, gives an authentic French-country feel to many a cultural event, whether it be literature, art, performance, music or poetry.

Despite his joie-de-vivre, Don Nacho is a serious businessman who makes it his business that culture is at the forefront of every season in Puerto Vallarta, whether high or low.

President of the cultural advisement council, he acts as liaison with the city and the local university, coordinating activities to involve the entire community.

“The essence of a city,” he says, “is the combination of the culture and festivals it offers not only to visitors but also to its own residents.”
