 Sailing Sailing the high seas of Banderas Bay can take many forms: adventurous, calming, mellow, historic or even romantic. Custom sailing cruises aboard a wide variety of sailing sloops can be reserved, as can day, evening, overnight or longer trips. Charters aboard sailboats of varying sizes can be booked to sail away. Sailing yacht tours include meals, whale watching in season and spotting dolphins, manta rays and other sea life. Stop at beaches along the way for lunch, sunbathing, snorkeling and other water sports. There are sailing cruises that will take you on breathtaking sunset sails to romantic locations for dinner and a show, or luxury dinner cruises aboard a 116-foot classic motor yacht. Sail the bay on day or evening cruises aboard a Spanish galleon, La Marigalante, a replica of Christopher Columbus' Santa Maria. Many tours sail to remote coastal villages where you can disembark for lunch under a palapa and play in the sun.
