Kit Kat:
Hip and fresh with a clubby atmosphere, this very cool eatery stays open into the wee hours to satisfy late-night yearnings, its innovative and extensive cocktail menu including 30 martinis and an equal number of “On the Rocks” libations. Understanding that it’s every little thing that matters – like sofas for snuggling over dinner and really good stuffed olives – owner Michael Schultz offers a wisely sized menu in his serene air-conditioned space and on the terrace. Every course a delicious art form, the Thai-influenced Sizzling Coconut Chicken Soup appears in a coconut, the Pacific Rim Caesar an intriguing take on an old classic with a hint of ginger and crispy wonton. Perennial favorites include the juicy Mombo Burger on homemade focaccia with onion rings and Bangkok Baby Backs with a Hoisin plum sauce. Café au lait served Paris-style in a big bowl compliments the moist and oversized desserts.
