Scuba and Snorkeling
The natural beauty of Banderas Bay offers many underwater adventures. Numerous tours are available to explore such areas as the rock formations of Los Arcos National Marine Park's underwater caves and canyons, secluded beaches with shallows teeming with tropical fish, or discover the wildlife reserves of the Marietas Islands' complex marine ecosystem that fascinated the late Jacques Cousteau with its deep caverns and rugged rock architecture. Banderas Bay also has beautiful coral reefs, which attract scuba divers to its waters. Night dives can also be arranged for experienced divers. Tours vary from short trips to all-day excursions with meals, snacks, and drinks included.
Banderas Bay Offers Diverse Snorkeling Opportunities:
Using simply a mask, snorkel and fins, you can take an ordinary water experience and convert it into memories that last a lifetime!

Marietas Eco-Discovery Tour: A veteran guest on various day cruise “party boats” around North America, I was ready for a change from that type of excursion, which often includes rowdy crowds, rushed itineraries and, frequently, unexpected charges in these alleged “all-inclusive” tours.
Dive right in! The water's fine: There are some experiences that are like no others, and diving is one of them. Although it had been described to me as being similar to dreams of flying, I still found myself surprised by the intensity of the actual experience.
