CasaMagna Marriott Educating Future Generations: The CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA committed to provide opportunities for the next generation is launching a six month hospitality training program for young people from challenging backgrounds. Nine trainees involved in the local program, were officially introduced to the Marriott managers at a welcoming cocktail event. The program is held in collaboration with the International Tourism Partnership's Youth Career Initiative, an association that creates the opportunities for disadvantaged young people to gain employability skills to which they have limited access elsewhere.

Puerto Vallarta's Triathlon 2008 a Great Success!: The very successful Puerto Vallarta Triathlon 2008 was held on Saturday, October 4. This event was organized to help prepare the city for the arrival of upcoming Pan American Games, which will be hosted by Guadalajara in 2011. Enthusiastic athletes arrived early at the beach next to Sheraton Hotel to begin their warm-up exercise routines. The event began 8:30 AM, with the most accomplished athletes leading the pack and achieving times within the range of Olympic records.
