La Petite France's Nacho Cadena along with several important representatives of Puerto Vallarta's restaurant and hotel industries recently announced a new annual wine festival. Titled Vallarta Wine Fest, it will take place February 27 - March 3 at several gourmet restaurants around the bay. This festival is organized by Nacho Cadena, hotel manager Luis Angarita, Vallarta Opina's publisher Luis Reyes Brambila and Viparmex Managers Agustin and Alejandro Rodriguez.

The host restaurant list includes La Petite France, Emiliano at Casa Velas, Andrea at Velas Vallarta, Porto Bello, Cafe des Artistes, Thierry's Prime Steak House, Dolcetto, La Dolce Vitta, Trio, Vitea, Le Kliff, Frascati, Bella Vista at Marival, Piaff at Grand Velas and Rouge at Mayan Palace.

During the festival these restaurants will offer a special discounted wine menu, along with free wine tasting hosted by each restaurant's sommelier. Casa Madero, L.A. Cetto, Anfitrion, Viparmex and America Wines are the companies that will provide choice wines from Spain, Argentina, Chile, Australia, France, Italy and Mexico.

Vallarta Wine Fest, Jalisco plus Nayarit, is an idea that was born among friends and whose goal is to become aworld-class addition to Puerto Vallarta's other annual festivals.
