Vallarta Golf Tourney at end of September Helps Disabled Kids
Amid lots of media fanfare during the tenth anniversary of this nationwide telethon to help disabled children, Vista Vallarta's Jack Nicklaus course will host the fourth annual foursomes golf tournament September 29 - October 1. And not only is it for a good cause, but prestigious prizes will be awarded, including Mercedes-Benzes for a Hole in One.
Packages available out of Mexico City include round-trip airfare, ground transportation, two nights at the Marriott CasaMagna, breakfasts, a gala dinner, green fees and more, locals also encouraged to join in the fun of this sporting fund raiser. The annual telethon is a big deal in Mexico, moving from state to state with cameras, lights and lots of action. Every event — this tournament included — is given extraordinary media coverage, both nationally and internationally.
Last year, 560 media companies tracked what is essentially an exciting variety show that the entire country gets into, because the entertainment is great and the cause even greater. Plus, it's a great way to both show off Puerto Vallarta and environs and be able to pledge badly needed funds.
