As of July 5th, American Consul Kelly Trainor and her staff are offering their services at a new location in Nuevo Vallarta's Paradise Plaza. Trainor says the main reason for the move was that the building they had long occupied in Puerto Vallarta's Main Plaza was undergoing renovation and all the tenants had to move out, at least temporarily. "And actually this is a much nicer and larger facility in an easily accessible central location. There's lots of parking and bus service right to the door. Plus it's closer to the airport, the district attorney's office and the jail." The new location happens to be in another state, Nayarit, which shares Banderas Bay with Jalisco, this consular agency responsible for the entire area.
