The seventh annual Toys for Tots charity fundraiser is fast approaching, a ticket to the gala dinner December 18 at the Marriott CasaMagna translating into gifts for 13 children whose families simply can't afford to buy them anything on Mexico's traditional day of gift giving, Three Kings Day January 6. And participation in the golf tournament the day before, December 17, buys gifts for another 33 kids. Last year, this program raised enough money to provide 8,000 toys, this year's goal 10,000. About a hundred sponsors, including the Vista Vallarta Golf Club, US Consular Agent Kelly Trainor and the Navy League are doing everything they can to make this a success, the rest up to the community, which consists of both locals and visitors.
