Reserva de los González Presented New Tequila

Tequila Reserva de los González is more than just a tequila company, it represents the past and the future of an entire family dedicated to creating this drink for Mexico and the world. Their new brand, recently presented at Thierry's Prime Steakhouse, is a homage to the men that works in agave fields from Atotonilco at Los Altos de Jalisco.

Reserva de los González Directors, Eduardo González and Francisco González, were took time to talk with distinguished guests and members of the press. Their company has more than 60 years producing this type of mezcal made from blue agave tequilana weber plant, also known as maguey in Mexico.

Eduardo and Francisco have been presenting their new product all over the country since last November and the public response has exceeded their expectations. Reserva de los Gonzáles follows the traditional tequila manufacturing process which is closely adheres to strict norms implemented by the Mexican government.

Tequila was first produced in the 16th century near the city of Tequila, Jalisco. The Aztecs had previously made a fermented beverage from the agave plant which they called octli, long before the Spanish arrived in 1521. When the conquistadors ran out of their own brandy, they began to distill this agave drink to produce North America’s first indigenous distilled spirit.

Tequila is more popular today than ever. In Puerto Vallarta you can find Tequila Reserva de los González at Café des Artistes, Thierry's Prime Steakhouse and Frascati.
