Starting in January, two local residents with decades of top recording and touring experience will give music workshops and private instruction here in beautiful PV. What more fertile and creative environment in which to pursue this artistic expression than in a town known for having wonderful music everywhere, even in the streets! Professional musicians Lisa and Steve York will hold a series of four-day workshops in jazz, Latin jazz, Latin music, blues and soul and many more styles. Private lessons can be arranged for a wide variety of instruments, styles and levels — keyboards, acoustic and electric guitar, electric and fretless bass, upright bass, drums, percussion, saxophone, flute and even orchestral instruments included. Running four hours a day for four days, these workshops have a minimum of two participants and a maximum of 12, allowing time for sightseeing and other vacation activities, as well as for hearing some of the great music Vallarta offers. In addition, there will be at least two nights of jam sessions with some of PV's finest musicians at a popular open-air club right on the ocean run by musicians.
