Disney Movie Production Team Arrives in Puerto Vallarta

Disney Movie Production Team Arrives in Puerto Vallarta-Main

The Disney full-length feature South of the Border, where Drew Barrymore, Andy García and Salma Hayek will give voices to the movie's main characters, three dogs, has started filming in Puerto Vallarta and surroundings. Under the direction of Raja Gosnell, who previously produced Scooby Doo, the storyline intertwines real people and virtual characters. Drew Barrimore's character, Chloe, is a ritzy Chihuahua who becomes separated from her owner, performed by two time Golden Globe-winning, and Emmy Award-nominated film actress Jamie Lee Curtis, during a trip to Mexico. The adventure begins when Chloe meets other dogs that help her way back to her owner. Andy García provide the voice of a German Shepherd who used to work at the police department but has regretfully lost his sense of smell, while Salma Hayek's character will become Chloe's spiritual guide. Other voices featured on the film include those of actors Edward James Olmos, Paul Rodriguez, and opera singer/impresario Placido Domingo.
