To mark 10 years since opening its doors to the public, Biblioteca Los Mangos has some special events coming up in November. A free concert Friday the 24th at 6 pm will be performed by the Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra. The following day, Saturday the 25th, the Puerto Vallarta Writers Group will hold its weekly meeting at the library rather than at its usual venue, the International Friendship Club.

The time, however, will remain the same: 10:30 am - 12 pm. A new section of the library will be inaugurated at noon, Biblioteca Autor, or the Author's Library. A section solely dedicated to the work of local authors, both English and Spanish, it will cover the whole spectrum of genres, from poetry to psychology and food to fiction. More than 65 area authors are expected to participate, chatting with guests and signing their books — a copy of which will be on library shelves.

So come and meet the writers and check out the facilities this progressive community library offers while you're at it: free Internet, periodicals, expositions, workshops, a cinema club and more — plus some 20,000 books!
