The President of Mexico Commemorates Marine's Day in Puerto Vallarta
Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon will commemorate Marine's Day at Puerto Vallarta’s maritime terminal on Jun 1th. After the annual ceremony that pays tribute to a decree signed in 1917 by former President of Mexico Venustiano Carranza, President Calderon will officially inaugurate the recently-completed maritime terminal expansion. According to Administracion Portuaria Integral (API) General Manager Francisco Martinez, Marine Secretary Admiral Francisco Saynes will also be present on that special day. Maritime terminal personnel along with the presidential staff are busy supervising the installations and the logistics of the event, which will also coincide with the inauguration of "Expo Mar," a trade show featuring some of Mexico's most impressive naval vessels. Expo Mar is free, open to the public 10 am to 8 pm, and will remain open until Sunday, June 3.
