A favorite PV lunch spot for 11 years — and the place one could always go for a good laugh and conversation as well as great comfort food — Hank Muffett and Conrad Kostelecky's Chiles has been sold. But happily we will still get to see these great guys, since they plan to return to Vallarta every November to spend the winter. Over the years they became an integral part of the community, Chiles hosting many a successful fund raiser for charitable organizations and neat private events. And while grateful to their many "inspiring" friends and clients, Hank and Conrad felt the time was right to make a change. New owners Walter Haas, Ricardo Gutierrez and Paco Rayeto say they will be maintaining much of Chiles' winning formula, while adding some interesting new twists. The hours will be extended, the menu expanded, and the place "spiffed up a bit." But the tranquil garden ambiance will remain, as will some favorite menu items. (322) 223-0373
