Popular Liverpool Department Store Coming to PV
Wal-Mart will be getting an exciting new next-door neighbor, a $40 million USD shopping center featuring Mexico's best known retailer, Grupo Liverpool (think Macy's), which operates outlets all across this country. Offering everything you can think of, from watches to washing machines and T-shirts to televisions, when this Puerto Vallarta store opens in the fall of 2007 it will introduce to PV a new definition of one-stop shopping, with aisles and aisles of appealing items. But until then, we can access much of what this multifaceted store offers via Liverpool's virtual tiendas and a telephone sales center — see the store's main website, www.liverpool.com.mx. Operating in this country for 159 years, Liverpool has a reputation for exceeding client expectations and today has more than 730 commercial locations. According to Liverpool chief architect Roberto Pasos, the Puerto Vallarta store will generate work for 1,500 local employees and another 2,500 workers indirectly.
