New Memphis-Puerto Vallarta Flight

New Memphis-Puerto Vallarta Flight-Main

Northwest Airlines recently announced a new daily flight from Memphis starting this next winter season, February 14 to April 7, 2008, with convenient morning departures onboard an Airbus 320 airplane. This aircraft is a short-to-medium range commercial passenger manufactured by Airbus S.A.S. First delivered in 1988, the A320 pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems in a commercial flight.

The new Memphis-Puerto Vallarta flight will allow our destination to compete with other beach hot spots also connected to Memphis, such as as Louisville, New Orleans and Nashville. Memphis is located in the southwest corner of Tenessee, rising above the Missisipi River. It has an estimated population of 670,902 being the largest city in its state.

According to Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Office this new route will be easy to sell for Travel Agencies. Northwest Airlines, also known as NWA, is an American airline with three major hubs in the United States: Detroit Metropolitan Wayne Country Airport, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, and Memphis International Airport. NWA also operates flights to Asia, Amsterdam, Indianapolis and Honolulu.
