New Aguascalientes-Puerto Vallarta Flight Announced-Main

Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Office, Puerto Vallarta’s Visitors Office and Marriott Casamagna offered a welcoming reception to Alma de Mexico Airlines' staff and Aguascalientes Tourism Secretary Fernando Pol Perez to honor the first flight between Aguascalientes and Puerto Vallarta. The inaugural flight of Alma de Mexico took place this past July 25th, departing from Puerto Vallarta’s International Airport, and providing a new low-cost alternative for residents of both cities.

Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Director Marcelo Alcaraz stated that Aguascalientes is one of most important tourism targets for our destination and the government will assist with promotion to consolidate that destination among local people. The city of Aguascalientes is the capital of Aguascalientes state, situated in the center of the country. The name means “hot water” in Spanish and originated from the abundance of hot springs in the area.

Alma de México is a Mexican airline that has quickly become a favorite option among users thanks to its security, service and quality. They currently operate 120 daily flights with 31 routes to 22 different Mexican cities. Jalisco’s Tourism Office Director Ludwig Estrada and Alma de Mexico’s Commercial Director Hector Gonzalez were also present at the welcoming ceremony.
