More People Chose PV Last Year
In 2005, Puerto Vallarta jumped to the fifth most desirable international destination from number 12 the year before, according to the authoritative annual Carlson Wagonlit Travel Trends Survey - which just goes to show that we're doing something right! Mexico itself dominates the top 10 international destinations, and 33 percent of the the survey's 363 respondents said Puerto Vallarta was the number one choice for travelers looking for an alternative to hurricane-ravaged Cancun and the Yucatan. "Despite negative events last year, both natural and otherwise, people want to travel," said Roger Block, executive vice president of the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate Division. "The surge in travel to Puerto Vallarta and the western coast of Mexico in the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma is the perfect example."
