Mar Plata Considered a Hot Table by Condé Nast Traveler
The prestigious American magazine Conde Nast Traveler ranked Mar Plata restaurant as a Hot Table, a classification of 95 new restaurants made by anonymous correspondents around 30 countries. Conde Nast Traveler specializes in travel, primarily recreational, but also for business travelers. In addition to writing about various exotic locales, so that readers may consider them for destinations, it also rates travel facilities such as hotels and airlines.
About Mar Plata, Conde Nast wrote "Just 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, the sleepy fishing village of San Francisco (San Pancho to locals) is a peaceful enclave. Now there is added appeal: Mar Plata, an airy space on a veranda overlooking the sea. Brass lanterns, painted tiles, and decorative pillows give the dining room a Marrakech-by-way-of-Mexico feel. From the grill comes Argentine-inspired barbecue: perfectly grilled steak, tender prawns, and fish so fresh they taste like they are caught only moments before. Factor in the excellent wine list and you’ve got a pilgrimage-worthy restaurant."
Mar Plata is located on the north shore at Palmas #130, San Francisco. Reservations and more information call to (01) 311 258-4424.
