Make-A-Wish Presents New Team, New Event
Make-a-Wish Foundation Mexico is living a new phase since it was created in Puerto Vallarta, Executive Director Adriana Fernandez recently announced during a press conference. Their offices have relocated to a larger space and to accommodate recent staff increases: Event Planner Malu Diaz de Leon, Wish Coordinator Rosario Cibrian, and Assistant Maricarmen. This new team will continue granting children's wishes through Mexico. Fernandez also announced that Fidencio's restaurant, located at Los Muertos Beach, will host the 7th Annual Gourmet Cocktail next February 3. The menu will include shrimps, fillet mignon, among other gourmet delicacies. Tickets in advance are available at Make a Wish offices, Tropicasa Realty or Picnic restaurant. Ticket cost is $300 pesos and includes one drink. Proceeds will make even more children's wishes come true. Make-a-Wish has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions trough its wish-granting work. The foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make a Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities. The latest wish in Mexico is for a kid from Chihuahua named Ricardo. He wanted to go to learn snowboarding in Canada. Thanks to the generous sponsorship, the wish was granted. He will travel to Canada to fulfill his wish, attend a movie, and a hockey game. Make a Wish Foundation is waiting for your help. Not only money is needed, they also need volunteers for different activities. Call 222-9111 for more information.
