Investors Consider An Aquarium in Puerto Vallarta
Vancouver Aquarium's Operations Vice-president Jean Charles Freimuler met with local businessmen and government officials to discuss the possibility of building an aquarium in Puerto Vallarta. The meeting took place within the context of a broader group of Vancouver Business Office who recently travelled to Puerto Vallarta for as a reponse to proposals put forth by Mario Sacramento, President of the Mexican Management Confederation (COPARMEX) in Puerto Vallarta. Mario Sacramento proposed several options as possible locations for such an addition to our city's wealth of tourism attractions and the areas will be analyzed to determine the feasibility of such project. Puerto Vallarta Mayor Javier Bravo and Municipal Tourism Director Marcelo Alcaraz were also present at the meeting. The Vancouver Aquarium is a self-supporting non-profit association that allows its visitors and members to enjoy the entire aquarium, besides to dedicate efforts to the conservation of aquatic life throughout display, interpretation, education, research, and direct action.
