Created by local sculptor Jim Demetro, the sculpture honors Puerto Vallarta's Xiutla folkloric dance troup, directed by Profesor Enrique Barrios Limon.

Vallarta's First Pet Picnic Comes to Daiquiri Dick's: Grab a blanket, dress up your "best friend" and head over to Daiquiri Dick's on December 9th, 2006 for the first, and hopefully annual, Pet Picnic. Proceeds from this fun-filled fundraiser will help support the Puerto Vallarta Animal Shelter.

New Inda Saenz Exposition at Los Mangos Library: Artist Inda Saenz is currently displaying her latest paintings in a collection called “Maestras, Discipulos y Alegorias” at Los Mangos Library’s Berenice Starr Room. This art exhibition is part of the Library's 10th Anniversary’s celebration.

2006 Vallarta Film Festival Around the Corner: Everything is set to go for the 2006 Vallarta Film Festival, which will take place November 29 to December 3. The festival will feature a total of 38 movies in five groupings: Enviromental Films, Latin American Films, New Images from Canada, American Independent Cinema, Hollywood Studio Films and Short Films from the Americas.

Outback Steakhouse Celebrates Six Years of Charity Work: Outback Steakhouse's upcoming sixth anniversary celebration will help three local charities: Make-A-Wish Foundation, Pasitos de Luz and Agape - will receive a portion of the money collected from ticket sales and an auction. The party will take place on November 28th at the local Outback restaurant.

New Free AIDS Clinic Opens in Puerto Vallarta: AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the largest AIDS organization in the US and Vallarta Contra el SIDA are joining forces with federal, state and local government bodies in Mexico to partner together in a new, free AIDS clinic in Puerto Vallarta.
