St. Petersburg Ballet Visits Puerto Vallarta: The St. Petersburg Grand Ballet Company will perform in Puerto Vallarta March 9 at the Centro Universitario de la Costa's auditorium. The unprecedented performance will feature a program in three acts featuring 40 dancers on stage that will delight the audience for over two hours.

Le Bistro Has New Chef: Le Bistro recently announced the arrival of Felipe de Jesús García Pelayo as their new chef. Pelayo, who has over 20 years of culinary experience, is expected to update the popular restaurant's menu, which will feature flavors and essences of the chile, while holding on to several tried and true favorites.

Lucille Shipley Workwhop Participants Donate to Los Mangos Library: On February 21, 2007 workshop Director Lucille Shipley and artist Cassandra Shaw presented the Los Mangos Public Library president, María José Zorrilla, with a check for $10,920 pesos representing a portion of the sale price of participants' artwork at the annual workshop exhibition in January.

Kiteboard Pro World Tour comes to Puerto Vallarta: The Kiteboard Pro World Tour, an international circuit grouping some of the world's best kiteboarders recently announced that Puerto Vallarta will host, for the first time, the Mexico Kiteboard World Cup, an event co-organized with partner Americas Sports Marketing. The event will take place May 13-20, 2007.

Barcelo Hotel Completes Beach Restoration Program: The Barcelo La Jolla de Mismaloya Hotel in Puerto Vallarta recently completed a major beach restoration program that includes the addition of 50 feet of additional beach. In recognition for its efforts to date the hotel has received the Five Star/Five Diamond award from the American Academy of Hospitality Services.
Third Dog Show Announced: All the best dogs, in the same place, at the same time. It is the third annual Puerto Vallarta Dog Show. The entries are in for this event to be held on February 24-25 from 11 am at the municipal stadium across from the Sheraton Hotel.

Local Restaurants Launch Annual Wine Fest: La Petite France's Nacho Cadena along with several important representatives of Puerto Vallarta's restaurant and hotel industries recently announced a new annual wine festival. Titled Vallarta Wine Fest, it will take place February 27 - March 3 at several gourmet restaurants around the bay.
