In an effort to create stronger ties between international tour operators and Puerto Vallarta's hotel industry, the upcoming Gala Vallarta event, to take place March 14 & 15, promises to be the most successful ever. This important event, to take place at Fiesta Americana, brings together over 120 individuals representing 56 international tour operators and most major Puerto Vallarta hotels with one goal: to consolidate agreements for the upcoming 2007 season. It is expected that at least 1,700 meetings between hotels and tour operators will take place by the time the event concludes with a traditional gala dinner at the Sheraton Buganvilias. Organized by Vallarta's Convention and Visitors Bureau, Gala Vallarta also serves as an indicator of any changes in local hotel fares.
