This year's exciting Pro-Am golf tournament November 10 - 12 saw 112 participants from Mexico, Canada and the United States form 38 teams and compete for prizes including cash and the prestigious Swing Vallarta trophy sculpted by Octavio Gonzalez - who also created the landmark whale and calf at the entrance to Marina Vallarta. Played at Nuevo Vallarta's El Tigre and the Jack Nicklaus Vista Vallarta courses, it's interesting to note that the captain of the team placing first and winning the trophy has the same name as its creator, Octavio Gonzalez. And while this year no got a hole-in-one, thereby winning a fabulous condo or car, next year will bring another opportunity!
