 The new “Toyota Vallarta” dealership near Las Juntas recently made a grand community gesture by sponsoring the WesMex Regatta, the Vallarta Yacht Club’s premier youth sailing event. This event featured three Olympic-class boats: Optis sailed by 8- to 14-year-old children; as well as 420s and Lasers, sailed by young adults. Eighty young sailors from all over Mexico competed in the WesMex Regatta to earn qualifying points for the right to compete in the World Championship for their class.
Many thanks to Carlos Padilla, managing partner of Toyota Vallarta, for funding the WesMex Regatta and supporting these aspiring nautical athletes. This is a fine example of a local business giving back to the community.
