Best Reason to Toast and Celebrate: Exotic Drinks All Over Puerto Vallarta

Two issues ago we began inviting restaurants around Vallarta to produce signature cocktails as a new, ongoing recipe feature. La Palapa and Vitea stood up to the challenge in our Fall-Winter 2006 issue with Lapahlua and Cocktail Vitea, two delicious Kahlua-based cocktails. Daiquiri Dick’s and Agave Grill followed suit in the following issue with tequila-based Margarita Linda and Cocktail Agave. Little did we know, however, that bartenders at these fine restaurants and many others have been concocting all sorts of exotic beverages on their own, often pairing them with each locale’s signature dishes, turning dining outings into truly memorable experiences and constantly increasing the number of restaurants you simply must try. The list is endless! We celebrate the amazingly creative forces behind Puerto Vallarta’s top restaurants and invite you to raise your glass and toast with these unique cocktails, along with Bai Sri’s exotic fresh basil and ginger Thai Breeze, this issue’s cover feature, or Ztai’s Geisha, a fabulous cucumber martini (pictured right).
