Jean-Gabriel Lambert - Galleria Dante
Published Jan 23, 2009 - (Updated Jan 29, 2009)
Former professional actor, Jean-Gabriel Lambert, began painting about 15 years ago. A native of Montreal, this abstract artist started his career with pastel, ink and paper, and his first series of drawings included a story. At that time, his works were almost entirely composed of the colors black, white and blue - his favorite color. He subsequently studied watercolor and acrylic painting, and acrylics became his passion. After only three years as a painter, he had his first exhibition in Montreal. Lambert fell in love with the Mexican people during his initial visit to Vallarta in 1999 and for the first time added the color yellow into his work. He continues to be inspired by the light, color and people of Puerto Vallarta, and now paints here on his annual pilgrimages, as well as in his Montreal studio. Lambert is represented locally by Galleria Dante. Learn more about this and other galleries in Puerto Vallarta by visiting our Gallery Section.
